Day 598. Holidays, tick! African kick-off, tick! New job onboarding, tick! First kiteboarding session, tick! Still to be made: put financial accounts in order, refresh the dream board, have a beer in the sun, plan articles for this blog…

Overall, got tons of ideas, stopping all engines makes you think and provides a new perspective on life, love, and the universe. Tons of stuffs happened over the last four weeks and provided me tons of learning, tears and laughs. I had too much Rosé for sure, but hey, it’s the holidays in the « Midi ». Holidays were too short, as all holidays are, but hey, all precious stuffs are scarce. Time flew and when I look back, I only see quality time, so it was a good life spent!

I’m energized, I’m full of ideas, I’m delighted to be back and kicking! I will change again some little things to this blog, but it feels good to type this daily post. Do not expect anything special, do not prepared to be surprised, just do! This will be the theme of the coming weeks, months, and why not years: stop the dreaming, start the doing!

    Over to you!

  • Nothing is given, you have to take it…

Day 572 I HATE this feeling of entitlement more and more people have nowadays. People feels entitled although nothing come for free, not without efforts. There’s always a price to pay. Most of the time now, this price is hidden and we may not realize we pay it. Free of charge internet comes with ads. Free of charge pension comes with additional tax. Free of charge plastic bags come with killing nature. And so on. Whatever you do, realize that even free things comes at a price, that you are entitled to nothing.

Nothing is given, nothing comes for free. You have to work, hard, you have to ask for it, you have to take it. If you think successful and fulfilled people are lucky, think again. Some people are lucky, that’s true, but most of them have tried, failed and tried again, until success. Luck comes with failure, luck comes with hard work, and luck comes with trying and trying. Next time, you think you’re entitled to something, think again, and work for it!

  • All you need is love… The Beatles

Jour 571.

  • 4 simple steps to make your dreams real

Day 567. The best dreams are those that can become real. We live in a real world, being happy and fulfilled requires to enjoy the life we live. A lot of people tend to think dreams are meant to stay dreams. I believe dreams are made to become real. This gives a purpose to our efforts, guides our steps, and pushes us to grow. Of course, if you dream humanly impossible dreams, like walking on Pluto for instance, you need to rethink your dreams. However, you can scale them down to stretch you while providing a goal to reach.

So how do make your dreams real. It’s simple, although it may not be easy:

    1. Ensure your dream is achievable. If you dream to walk on Pluto, rethink! A dream can be huge and it has to be achievable, otherwise you will live an unsatisfied life.
    2. List the steps to reach your dream. If you want to fly a jet, look for the possibilities, find the expert, and write the necessary steps you’ll need to go through.
    3. List resources required to make each step real. Go deep, define time and money needed. Once again be realistic, and bold! Once done, you will be light-years ahead most people.
    4. Start now. Imagination without action is hallucination. You did not come that far just to look at the plan and not execute it. It may be hard and long, but it’s worth it! Go!

Achieving your dreams is a worthy endeavor. It pushes you, it propels you and it gives your live a purpose. If life has been tough, dreams can help make it sparkle. Of course, there will be hard times and setback. Failure is necessary for any success as it provides learning. But as it’s been said, succeeding is failing a hundred times and getting back a hundred and one times. Do not wait any longer, each of us deserve to realize our dreams, just create the ideal dream catcher and run with it!
